GSS Group Safety Services: Health and Safety Training Courses: The latest techniques
GSS's desire to keep abreast of the latest developments extends to the company's training
methods, which are designed to let indivudual students learn in the way that suits them best.
The company has an education suite equipped with the latest training technology. Central to it is an
electronic whiteboard stretching more than six feet wide and five deep, which can be used as a huge
interactive computer screen, and even has its own integrated sound system. It can be used as a front
end for television presentations, DVD and video players, and even the Internet.
The screen's interactive nature allows our health and safety training courses to be brought to life. Instead of trainees sitting and listening to presentations, they are now more actively involved, getting up and moving around, and even using the board themselves.
The technology hits all the senses, making it far more effective than the traditional 'chalk and talk' technique, and it's more enjoyable too - helping to improve the learning experience and therefore aiding retention for differing abilities and learning preferences.
The education suite supports the latest requirements of IOSH Managing Safely and Working Safely courses, in which places significant emphasis on the offering of different learning styles.
